As the main (and only) developer of “Age of Joy”, I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of the players who have downloaded the game. It means a lot to me that so many people are enjoying “Age of Joy” because I put a lot of effort and commitment into making it.

I also want to give a special thanks to those who have generously donated money to support the game. Your contributions help me to continue improving this game experience and bringing new content and updates. Thank you so much for your generosity.

I’m constantly working on updates and modifications to improve the game, and I have a few new “cabinet packs” in the works that I think players are going to love. Also some cabinet adjustments, issue corrections and I added the MD5sum (CRC) of each tested ROM in the Rom Compatibility Database. Also a new MD5 check page where you can obtain the MD5sum of your ROMs

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for “Age of Joy,” and I’m committed to continuing to bring joy (no pun intended) to players. Thank you again for your support, and happy gaming!

This is an AMAZING representation of a classic arcade!

The program takes a bit of work to get all set up, as you have to use the sidequest app on your PC to install Age of Joy, and then use Sidequest to upload cabinet art and MAME compatible roms for the games, but once that is done, the effect is incredible!

The developer cleverly added NPCs walking around, sounds of an arcade, soda machines, snack machines, etc. It really feels like you are in the back rooms of a bowling alley, playing these classic arcade games.

The program does such an amazing job of creating an atmosphere that is long gone, it is almost surreal.

VR is known for taking you to other worlds, and Age of Joy definately takes you to another time! Spectacular!

So, I’ve been complaining for years (yes years) now that we don’t have some type of Arcade Cabinet wrapper for Oculus Quest since Oculus Arcade (Oculus dropped that project for some reason). I literally made a video about it.. And about the same time I made the video , this amazing Dev already started on the project. This will be a big hit. I supported and will continue to support the development for this greatness.
